Insider, The (1999) IMDB rating: 7.90 Plot: This film tells the true story of Jeffrey Wigand, a former tobacco executive, who decided to appear on the CBS-TV News show “60 Minutes.” As matter of conscience partially prodded by producer Lowell Bergman, he revealed that, the tobacco industry was not only aware that cigarettes are addictive & harmful, but deliberately worked on increasing that addictiveness. Sephora Membership Points Questions?
Okay so if you buy a $20 gift card to Sephora and your gonna give it to your friend as a gift, but you buy something else too. (for example Urban Decay Primer Potion, $17) So your total would come out to $37 and you give the cashier your Beauty insider card.

Question 1: Would you get 37 points on your card? or 12 points?

Then after you give it to your friend but for some reason she doesn’t want it and gives it back to you. You go spend the $20 gift card and also pick something else up (For example NARS blush, $25 and Dior Show Mascara, $24) and your total comes out to $49 but you have the $20 gift card, so it comes out to $29.

Question 2: Would you have 29 points on your card or 49 points?

You get points for whatever you spend on. So..

Question 1:
You will only get 17 points (for the primer potion) and NOT the 20 points for the gift card. You get points on all "merchandise" but e-certificates and giftcards do not count as "merchandise." IF you wanted the points however, you can technically buy something worth $20 (and you would get the points) and then return it with NO receipt (the points won’t be deducted because there’s no receipt.) Then, when you return the item you will get merchandise credit (like a gift card but it’s a white card instead.) Then, when you use the merchandise credit, you still get points for whatever you buy with that card. So basically, it doubles your points.

Question 2:
Yes you get the points when you pay with a giftcard. So if the total comes to $49 you will still get 49 points.

You just don’t get points when you BUY a gift card or when you return something (with your receipt.. since it contains your Beauty Insider Account on there) the points get deducted from whatever you return. Before, the points weren’t deducted but since the system got updated, it gets deducted now.
